Prayer = Change

Prayer = Change

| I’m finding that the more God lays people on my heart
the stronger I pray for them,
so thankful he has given me some special girlies that hold me up in prayer,
and it gives me the strength to carry on when the tough gets toughest,
reminds me so much of my sweet grandmothers they were the rock of both sides of our families
why…
they were sweet praying grandmothers that would call us all by name asking for His hand on us no matter day or night,
always putting their faith all in…
trusting His word
they have both passed on,
feeling that void they left in our sweet families’ lives our “prayer warriors”
ol’ how I’m striving and longing too be like them carrying on what they showed us how to be women,
strong,
independent,
loving and praying
many days spent with our grandparents and just remembering
precious Granny Warden would sing all the time so singing her prayer was just an everyday thing,
never sad because she had a song,
my sweet Granny Edmonds
we would go lay down with her
just to hear her pray,
the tone of her voice always soothing and soft you knew she was right on heaven’s door,
lots of times she would just say Jesus,Jesus,Jesus
over and over
it didn’t take many words but you could feel his presence so real,
it’s kinda surreal
sometimes you don’t know what to say or do when faced with life
good or bad,

happy or sad,
but I’ve pulled my grandmothers
little prayer out and whispered His name
it changes you,
try it He is always there and right on time,
and remember your prayers are heard
no matter big or small
writing my heart
it made my heart blessed beyond to share,
praying it helped y’all’s sweet hearts too |
